  • Stay: up to 30 days per entry
  • Purpose: tourism, social visits, business meetings and transit (not work or study)
  • Arrival card: free Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC), filled within 3 days before arrival
  • Passport: valid for at least 6 months

Documents to carry

  • Passport valid for 6 months with blank pages
  • Confirmed return or onward ticket
  • Hotel bookings for your whole stay
  • Proof of enough funds (cash, card or bank statement)
  • MDAC confirmation

Some Indian travellers have been refused entry for not showing hotel bookings or enough funds, so keep these ready on your phone and on paper.

How to fill the MDAC

The MDAC is free on the official Malaysian Immigration portal (imigresen-online.imi.gov.my). Fill it within 3 days before arrival with your passport, flight and hotel details. Some unofficial websites charge large fees for the same form, so always use the official portal.
