1. When can I see snow in Manali?
Fresh snow is most likely from December to February in Manali and Solang Valley. From March to June you find snow higher up at Atal Tunnel, Sissu and Rohtang.
2. Do I need a permit?
No permit is needed for Solang Valley, the Atal Tunnel or Sissu. Rohtang Pass needs an online permit (about ₹550 per car, closed on Tuesdays, usually open mid-May to October); we arrange it if you want to go.
3. Is it safe in monsoon?
July and August bring heavy rain and landslide risk, so we do not recommend Manali in those months.
4. Can we add Shimla?
Yes, add 2 nights in Shimla for a 6-night Shimla–Manali tour.
5. Is this good for a honeymoon?
Yes, we can upgrade to a riverside resort and add a candle-light dinner and flower decoration.
